UDFA Wide Receivers to Watch in Phase 2 of NFL Off-season
Who has a chance to and make a 53-Man roster?
The wide receiver position is one of interest across the league as contracts continue to grow larger and larger this offseason. Highlighted by the fact that balance for positional spending comes from low-end contracts that counter-balance high spending contracts, these are the wide receiver UDFAs to watch.
Kevin Austin – Jacksonville Jaguars
Austin was an underutilized receiver at Notre Dame. However, he was one of the elite testers in the athletic matrix for the 2022 draft class. He faces favorable competition with street and unrestricted free agents competing against him for wide receiver spots five and six. His size and athleticism buy him more time than the average UDFA. Combined with the fact that he received a $25,000 bonus and $230,000 in guarantees from the Jacksonville Jaguars, he may be the UDFA that tops this class.
Justyn Ross – Kansas City Chiefs
Ross is easily the most intriguing but may also be the highest upside UDFA in the NFL.
