Yes, they have a high investment in a quarterback coming off a significant injury that is weighing on the minds in Minnesota. That's legitimate, but they have to make a stronger decision moving forward to solidify what that room is going to look like.
McCarthy may be on the path to getting fully healthy. He may not. J.J could be 100% for the season. He may only be at 80%, but either way, the Vikings have to do the best they can to support both his physical recovery and mental development in this league. One thing that would not help accomplish?
