Tuesday NFL teams placed the franchise tag on players they want to keep from hitting the open market. Tough decisions are part of this process in laying the groundwork for their free agency plans before the NFL draft. The franchise tag (exclusive) means that the player will sign and play on the tag unless they are able to reach an extension by July 15th.
