Just three members of the 2022 Quarterback NFL Draft class have played meaningful snaps through 5 weeks in the 2022 season. They have all had varying degrees of success. Injuries got Bailey Zappe and Skylar Thompson onto the field for the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins. The poor performance of the starting quarterback got Kenny Pickett onto the field for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Let’s break down how they’ve fared.

He did put out a plus 300-yard game that illustrates the fact that he's able to be a guy that stands in their play after play, can deliver the ball, and can run the offense. At this point, five games into the season, he understands enough to get that done. This is just the quarter point in a 17-game season, but he does prove that he can fulfill that role.
